U.S. House of Representatives Member, Barbara Lee Will Deliver the Keynote Address for the Black El Paso Democrats 29th Annual Political Awareness and Awards Banquet

On Sunday, February 26, 2012, the Black El Paso Democrats will host its 29th Annual Political Awareness and Awards Banquet at the Wyndham El Paso Airport Hotel. The theme for the event is “Reigniting the American Dream”, which illustrates the notable achievements of the Obama Administration over the last three years and the commitment the Black El Paso Democrats have made in furthering his agenda for the betterment of the Democratic Party and the country in general.

Our speaker is Congresswoman Barbara Lee, is a native El Pasoan, Immediate Past Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and representative of the 9th Congressional District of California.

We will honor notable community leaders and activists with appropriate awards and recognition. Additionally, we will recognize elected and appointed officials, Century Club Patrons, Table Sponsors, El Paso Democratic Hall of Fame inductees and Texas Majority Builders (Sustaining Members).

We invite you and your guests to join us on this historic occasion by reserving a table and attending this event. We also invite you to purchase a listing in the R.E.L. Washington, Sr. Century Club as a sustaining “Patron of Distinction” in our program.

With such a notable guest speaker, we expect seating to be at a premium.
